Outreach, Workshops, and Consultation 

In an effort to reach out to students, faculty, and staff, CAPS provide educational programming on both mental health and well-being topics. CAPS team members can present workshops to University residence halls, classes, groups as well as campus clubs and organizations. 

Topics of programs that have been requested include: 

  • Microaggressions
  • Eating disorders
  • Stress management
  • Time management
  • Healthy relationships
  • Depression
  • Anxiety and Stress Management
  • Issues that have affected marginalized students
  • General CAPS services

Other workshop topics are available and can be tailored for the needs of the intended audience.  

 

Requesting a Workshop, Presentation or Program

In an effort to reach out to students, faculty, and staff, Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) provides educational programming on mental health topics of interest to the campus community.

CAPS staff are available to present workshops to University residence halls, classes, groups and campus clubs & organizations.  The programs that have been requested in the past include: eating disorders, stress management, time management, healthy relationships, depression in college students, and orientation to the center's services. Other workshop topics are available and can be tailored for the needs of the intended audience. When making special requests, please keep in mind that additional time may be needed to develop the program.

  • If you would like to request a program, please complete the Outreach Request Form (docx).  All submitted forms are reviewed by CAPS staff during our weekly meetings on Tuesdays.
