Students can add, drop or change your meal plan during the drop/add period.  No meal plans can be dropped or downgraded after 5:00 p.m. on the last day of drop/add. Commuter meal plans are not prorated and must be purchased each semester. If the meal plan is dropped after the first day of classes, a pro-rated charge will be assessed.

Meal Plans

All meal plans are offered on a per semester basis. Meals do not carry over but any remaining bonus dollars will carry over from Fall to Spring semester, as long as a meal plan is purchased both semesters.

All meal plans consist of:

  • Meals
  • Exchanges
  • Guest meals
  • Bonus dollars

Meals

Meals can be swiped in our all-you-care-to-eat location in Dorrill Dining Hall. Each time you eat in the Dining Hall, one meal is subtracted from your semester balance. Just swipe your card on your way in the door and enjoy your meal.

Unused meals do not carry over to the next semester.

Meal Exchanges

Meal exchanges can be used to purchase certain combo meals at the P.O.D Market, Greens to Go, FarmGrill or a to-go meal in Dorrill Dining Hall. Each meal plan comes with a certain number of exchanges per week and are deducted from your total meal count overall. Meal exchanges reset weekly.

Guest Meals

Want to treat a friend or family member to a meal? All meal plans come with a set number guest meals that can be used in our all-you-care-to-eat location in Dorrill Dining Hall.

Bonus Dollars (1 Bonus Dollar = $1.00)

Bonus Dollars are tax-free dollars that come with each meal plan, each semester, and can be used in any of the Longwood Dining operated retail operations.   Bonus Dollars will carry over from the Fall to Spring semester, as long as a meal plan is purchased both semesters.
