Each fall, Longwood hosts Career Week to help students develop their professional skills and prepare for life after graduation. All students, from freshmen to seniors, have the opportunity to attend panel discussions, a networking event, meet alumni, and join in the Career fair to find internships and opportunities
Career Week
Career Week is also a fantastic opportunity for alumni to engage with current students. Participate as a panelist, join the networking session, or serve as a Career Ambassador. It’s a great way to connect with students and fellow alumni while sharing your professional insights.
The highlight of the week is the Fall Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair, featuring 50+ employers and graduate schools. Many Longwood alumni will be present as representatives from their respective companies.

Capping off the week, join us at the Office of Alumni and Career Success Porch Party. This is a chance to explore the resources offered by the office and the Center for Career Success while enjoying the company of alumni and friends. Plus, you might score a Color Wars shirt!
Business Cards:
The Center for Career Success is pleased to offer professional business cards to all undergraduate students. To request your set, please fill out the Business Card Request Form by September 23rd.

Walk-In Hours at the Center for Career Success, Maugans Alumni Center, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Wednesday, October 2nd
Students are encouraged to pre-register for the panel sessions.
Panel Discussions from 5:00 to 6:00 pm:
Careers in Public Service and Safety: Virginia Room, Rotunda
Inclusion in the Workplace: Wilson Chamber, Upchurch University Center
Careers in STEM: Radcliff Hall, Room 105
Student-Alumni-Employer Networking Session from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Soza Ballroom, Upchurch University Center.
- Business-casual attire recommended. Need business attire? Visit the Career Closet!
- Food and drinks will be provided. Drop by any time; no need to stay for the entire event.
Students are encouraged to pre-register for the networking session
Thursday, October 3rd
Fall Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in Blackwell Ballroom.
- Business-casual attire recommended.
Students that pre-register for the career fair will be entered in a drawing to win an iPad!
Employer Career Fair registration is available.
Friday, October 4th
Porch Party at the Office of Alumni and Career Success, Maugans Alumni Center, from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.
- Enjoy treats, pick up your Color Wars shirt, and learn about the resources available at the Office of Alumni and Career Success.
